Choice’s Brand new addition to our collection from New York is from the city of Rochester. Photographer Jason Walter has made this department and the apparatus featured in the set look it’s very best with stunning and detailed photography of a great selection of apparatus with units still in service from the 80’s to a brand new 2002 Quint 4 with a 110-foot aerial. Rochester, Located in the Western part of the state, is home to 8 Engine Companies, 9 Quint/Midi companies, and a Protective Unit. The Engine Companies consist of a four person unit (1 officer and 3 firefighters), whose responsibilities include fire suppression, rescue, and emergency medical services, while the Quint/Midi companies consist of a six person unit (1 officer and 5 firefighters), whose responsibilities include fire suppression, search and rescue, high rise team, ventilation, and emergency medical services. The Rochester Fire Department also has an Apparatus Division, which acquires and manages a fleet consisting of 31 first line firefighting vehicles including a salvage truck, two hazardous materials response vehicles, one attack squad vehicle, and 17 reserve apparatus.
