The spring of 2003 brings us a brand new antique series and first since our very popular and sold out antique series from Baltimore County back in 1997. This 18 card series features a selection of apparatus produced by the famous Maxim Motor Company, which opened its doors in 1888 and closed 101 years later by the name of Maxim Inc. in 1989. From the company’s inception in 1888, Maxim went through a series of name changes and big owners such as Seagrave Corporation and North Street Associates, the parent company of Ward LaFrance. Up until 1975, Maxim Motor Corporation had been primarily known to produce one of the industries finest aerial ladders. These ladders became featured on many of the large manufacturers such as Crown Firecoach. This card set certainly exemplifies the definitive history of this company and it’s apparatus.
